Within my palm, I embrace the shells of a dozen seeds, which have burst asunder and bloomed with life.

“Cause our souls to be enkindled with the fire of Thy tender affection and give us to drink of the living waters of Thy bounty.” – The Bab

Sometimes we wish for things contrary to God’s Will but He always has bigger dreams for us than we can ever imagine. In the end, “He doeth whatsoever He willeth and ordaineth whatsoever He pleaseth”. Our aim should be submission to His Will and patience under His decree.

A mere fence would not hold the goats back from getting food from visitors to the apple orchard.

“If thou art sailing upon the sea of God’s Names, which are reflected in all things, know thou that He is exalted and sanctified from being known through His creatures, or being described by His servants. Everything thou beholdest hath been called into being through the operation of His Will.” -The Báb, Selections From the Writings of the Báb

“I moreover entreat Thee, O my God, to rain down, from the heaven of Thy will and the clouds of Thy mercy, that which will cleanse us from the noisome savors of our transgressions, O Thou Who hast called Thyself the God of Mercy! Thou art, verily, the Most Powerful, the All-Glorious, the Beneficent.” -Bahá’u’lláh, Bahá’í Prayers

“In the time of the First Manifestation the Primal Will appeared in Adam; in the day of Noah It became known in Noah; in the day of Abraham in Him; and so in the day of Moses; the day of Jesus; the day of Muhammad, the Apostle of God; the day of the ‘Point of the Bayan’ (His Holiness The Bab); the day of Him Whom God shall make manifest (His Holiness Baha’u’llah); and the day of the One Who will appear after Him Whom God shall make manifest. Hence the inner meaning of the words uttered by the Apostle of God, ‘I am all the Prophets’, inasmuch as what shineth resplendent in each one of Them hath been and will ever remain the one and the same sun.” -The Bab, Selections from the Writings of the Bab

“I adjure Thee by Thy might, O my God! Let no harm beset me in times of tests, and in moments of heedlessness guide my steps aright through Thine inspiration.” -The Bab
