“O SON OF MAN! Thou art My dominion and My dominion perisheth not; wherefore fearest thou thy perishing? Thou art My light and My light shall never be extinguished; why dost thou dread extinction? Thou art My glory and My glory fadeth not; thou art My robe and My robe shall never be outworn. Abide then in thy love for Me, that thou mayest find Me in the realm of glory.”
—Bahá’u’lláh, The Hidden Words of Bahá’u’lláh

“O Son Of The Supreme! To the eternal I call thee, yet thou dost seek that which perisheth. What hath made thee turn away from Our desire and seek thine own?”
-Baha’u’llah

“Which do you think is the more: the flood of tears, which weeping and wailing you have shed upon this long way-hurrying and hastening through this round of rebirths, united with the undesired, separated from the desired this, or the waters of the four oceans?”
-The Eightfold Path, Buddha, the Word

My grandmother’s painting. This is what she left behind, her art.

“We ask God to endow human souls with justice so that they may be fair, and may strive to provide for the comfort of all, that each member of humanity may pass his life in the utmost comfort and welfare. Then this material world will become the very paradise of the Kingdom, this elemental earth will be in a heavenly state and all the servants of God will live in the utmost joy, happiness and gladness. We must all strive and concentrate all our thoughts in order that such happiness may accrue to the world of humanity.”
-‘Abdu’l-Bahá

I’m sitting here in the early morning silence, watching two birds woo one another on a building top. Nobody else is around and it’s just we three and the first Sun light. I feel like the world is mine and that I am Hers. We are sharing secrets that others do not know about or often go unseen. A car starts it’s engine and the two birds fleet in flight. For a moment there is an emptiness, but that is filled up with love as soon as I blink my eyes.
