Screaming fans on the red carpet in Los Angeles

A group of fans wave at their favorite celebrity on Hollywood Blvd. People often say that they feel like they “know” their idols – film stars, musicians, you name it. How often do we find their reality is nothing like our imagination. In fact we say that it is truly impossible to know the fullness of another person. What then does it mean to say that God is lofty beyond our praise?

“there is none other God but Thee, that Thou hast no peer nor partner, none to equal or rival Thee. In Thine unapproachable loftiness Thou hast, from eternity, been exalted above the praise of anyone but Thee…”

(Baha’u’llah, Prayers and Meditations by Baha’u’llah, p. 90)
