FAQs/Copyright

We regularly receive many emails from people wanting to join and help Nineteen Months in various ways. This is wonderful and we are all touched and very appreciative of your offers. To answer your commonly asked questions, we have put the following together. If your question is not answered, please email us at editors@nineteenmonths.com

Q: “How can I help this initiative?”

A: You could help us by promoting us through word-of-mouth, linking to us, and blogging/tweeting/facebooking us! Even better, start your own initiative (see below) and link to us!

Q: “I really like what you’re doing and would love to help by taking photographs or writing for you, is this possible?”

A: Nineteen Months is always looking for new photographers, writers, and contributors .  Please send your portfolio or a link to your website to editors@nineteenmonths.com.

Q: “So how do I share my spiritually inspired photographs and writing if not on Nineteen Months?”

A: Easy. Do what we did. We are sure that with your talent and the Writings, you can start off a NEW initiative!

Nineteen Months is one idea of inspiration for photography, but we’re certainly not the Getty Images of Bahá’í inspired photography!

The web needs more high quality Bahá’í content. Its very easy to start something, using a site such as wordpress.com if you have no web skills, for example. For good examples of other sites showing individual initiative, see bottom of page.

Q: “I want to use your photos on the internet, what is your copyright policy?”

A: Every photo on the site has a copyright owned by the photographer of that photo, however, we (the photographers) have decided to let you use them non-commercially only if you let us know where you use them, acknowledge the photographer and link to the site. For more on this and using the photos OFF the internet, please see the section below regarding copyright.

Recommended examples of individual initiative

engendering equality: a personal blog that explores gender equality.

nineteen days: Like Nineteen Months and Nylon Parla, “nineteen days” is also a collaborative photography project. It was created to share moments of the early mornings and evenings of the nineteen days of the Bahá’í Fast.

Soul Pancake: SoulPancake is a place to speak your mind, unload your questions, and figure out what it means to be human. Created by Baha’i, and Hollywood actor/The Office (American) star; Rainn Wilson

Fashionable Earth: a nonprofit organization created to provide information, resources and programs that promote sustainable living and eco-friendly design. Their mission is to motivate, inspire and inform the consumer population toward being more green and eco-friendly, through their au courant mantra “reduce, reuse, restyle!”
