A Fast Word: DST

By  |  0 Comments

Editor’s note: During the month of ‘Ala’ a handful of writers collaborate to share one work for each day of the Fast.

DST

Moved the clock forward
Daylight savings time
Time to put away the untoward
Find a fresh clime

In the middle of the night
Time moved ahead
Now’s the time to get things right
Must first get out of bed

A new beginning
A fresh start
Goals need winning
Time for a change of heart

An hour lost
Opportunity gained
There would be a cost
If old ways remained

– Gilbert Smith
